Key Components of the Dua

Virtues of Charity (Sadaqah) in Islam

Purifies Wealth & Soul: Charity cleanses one’s wealth and heart from greed and selfishness (Quran 9:103).
Protects from Calamities: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, *”Charity extinguishes sin as water extinguishes fire.”* (Tirmidhi)
Multiplies Rewards: Allah promises immense rewards for charity (Quran 2:261).
A Sign of True Faith: Loving charity reflects strong *iman* (faith) and *taqwa* (God-consciousness).

Why This Dua is Important

– It acknowledges human weakness—without Allah’s help, one may struggle to give selflessly.
– It aligns with the Sunnah, as the Prophet (ﷺ) was the most generous, especially in Ramadan.

Practical Steps to Fulfill This Dua

1. Start Small but Consistent: Even a little charity given regularly is beloved to Allah.
2. Give Secretly & Sincerely: Avoid showing off; seek only Allah’s pleasure (Quran 2:271-272).
3. Expand Forms of Charity: Beyond money, charity includes good deeds, kind words, and helping others.
4. Make It a Habit: Train yourself to give whenever possible, even in times of hardship.
