Duas for a new home

General remembrance when entering and a prayer when stopping at a place are relevant references for a new home. Neither selected source establishes a special new-house ceremony or an invented repetition programme.

أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّاتِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ
Transliteration

A‘udhu bikalimatillahit-tammati min sharri ma khalaq.

English meaning

I seek protection in Allah’s perfect words from the evil of what He created.

Entering with remembrance

Sahih Muslim 2018a supports mentioning Allah when entering and eating. The naming card is a general expression, not a verbatim long housewarming quotation.

A commonly circulated longer home-entry formula has its own weaker report. Do not relabel that wording with Muslim 2018a’s reference merely because both concern a home.

Stopping at a place

Sahih Muslim 2708a gives a request for refuge when stopping somewhere. Its original setting should remain visible when a reader considers its relevance to accommodation.

A source about stopping does not automatically supply every rule for buying, moving into or opening a new property. It also does not establish an exclusive formula for each room.

Gratitude and responsible settling in

Make a personal request for goodness in the home and considerate relationships with those who share or live near it. Attend to practical safety, essential arrangements and other people’s rights.

A meal or visit arranged to welcome people is a social choice unless a specific religious claim is made for it. Avoid marketing a fixed ceremony as required without evidence.

Common questions

Is there a compulsory new-house script here? These sources establish no such programme. Will the site guarantee property protection? No. Must every room receive a set recitation count? No such count is supplied. Where should I continue? The entering-home and family pages explain the daily remembrance and relationships separately.
