Duas and remembrance after prayer

The selected remembrance is reported after completing prayer. Its narration includes seeking forgiveness three times before the wording on the card, and those details should be learned together.

Transliteration

Allahumma antas-Salamu wa minkas-salam, tabarakta dhal-jalali wal-ikram.

English meaning

O Allah, You are Peace, and peace comes from You. Blessed are You, Possessor of majesty and honour.

Source and placement

Sahih Muslim 591 describes remembrance after the Prophet finished prayer. It reports seeking forgiveness three times and then the selected words concerning Allah and peace.

This is different from a supplication between tashahhud and salam. Similar themes of forgiveness do not make an inside-prayer text interchangeable with one reported after completion.

Keeping quotations and instructions distinct

The Arabic field gives the selected prayer wording. The preceding forgiveness and its count are explained in prose so that they are not silently inserted into the source quotation.

Other after-prayer remembrances have their own reports. This one card is not an exhaustive edition or evidence that every additional phrase should use the same repetition total.

Learning with your prayer practice

Read the meaning and learn the sequence through a reliable lesson. Questions about collective recitation, voice, raising hands or school-specific practice need their own evidence and context.

A small saved reference can help a beginner without making the whole collection into a mandatory checklist. Take care not to disturb people who are continuing to pray.

Common questions

Why is three mentioned here? It is supplied for the preceding forgiveness in this report. Is the card said before salam? Its selected setting is after prayer. Does it contain every after-prayer dhikr? No. Where should I continue? The Fajr page explains a different timed report, and the salah guide distinguishes the stages of prayer.
