Duas for good character

These prayers ask for guidance, righteous action and the best character. They make a useful starting point for reflection on conduct, while the responsibility to treat people well remains practical and ongoing.

The selected requests

Sahih Muslim 771a contains a character request within a longer prayer narration. The card is an excerpt and should not be labelled as a mirror-specific formula.

Quran 27:19 joins gratitude with righteous action, while Muslim 2721a links guidance with other qualities. Their different settings show why source labels should remain attached to each text.

Connecting words with conduct

Choose one behaviour to examine: an unfair remark, a broken promise, impatience or how you respond to correction. Ask for help changing it, then identify a realistic next action.

A request for good character is not a way to claim moral superiority over others. The useful question is how the meaning should affect your own choices.

Repair and continuing effort

Where you have harmed someone, consider how to apologise and put the matter right. A repeated prayer does not erase the need to address another person’s rights or seek support for a harmful pattern.

Learn the Arabic with its meaning, and return to that meaning when you notice a difficult moment. A personal reminder is a practical learning aid, not a prescribed count that guarantees an instant personality change.

Common questions

Is this a beauty-changing prayer? Its meaning concerns character, not appearance. Can I use it to change another person? No control over them is promised. Is one quotation the complete longer prayer report? The card identifies its excerpt. Where should I continue? The gratitude and self-control pages focus on related parts of conduct.
