Hajj and Umrah

Duas for Umrah

The selected texts include Talbiyah, remembrance linked with Safa and Marwah, and general Quranic requests. They are a source reference for learning, while the sequence and requirements of Umrah need complete pilgrimage instruction.

Shared texts with specific settings

Sahih Muslim 1184a gives the selected Talbiyah. The Safa and Marwah excerpt comes from the longer pilgrimage account in Muslim 1218a.

The latter excerpt is only part of the narrated remembrance and supplication, not the entire sequence at those places. Keeping an excerpt label avoids making a short card look like a complete ritual manual.

Quranic requests and tawaf

The acceptance requests in Quran 2:127–128 have the setting of Ibrahim and Ismail raising the House. Their use in a pilgrimage collection is general remembrance with that source context retained.

Sunan Abi Dawud 1892 separately supports the request from Quran 2:201 between the two corners. This does not establish a different fixed prayer for each circuit or every location.

Preparing before the journey

Learn meanings and short portions accurately, and obtain an explained itinerary from a qualified pilgrimage teacher. Ask about entering ihram, the point at which Talbiyah is used and the rites applicable to your circumstances.

Keep essential instructions available in a manageable form. In a crowd, attention to safety and other people takes priority over reading a long unsourced booklet from a phone.

Common questions

Is every card Umrah-specific? Some are shared pilgrimage texts and others are general Quranic requests. Is a separate dua required for each circuit? That is not established by these selected sources. Is the Safa and Marwah card complete? It is an excerpt. Where can I continue? The Talbiyah, tawaf and Safa/Marwah pages explain those parts separately.
