Hajj and Umrah

Duas for the day of Arafah

The selected cards provide general remembrance and a broad Quranic request. Their inclusion on an Arafah page does not make their source references evidence for every Arafah-specific claim circulated online.

What is selected

Sahih al-Bukhari 6403 supplies the general declaration of Allah’s oneness. Quran 2:201 asks for good in both lives and protection from the Fire.

Read these as clearly sourced general examples. Bukhari 6403’s own daily practice should not be re-labelled as an Arafah-only count merely because the declaration resembles another report.

The occasion-specific narration

Jami at-Tirmidhi 3585 is often cited in discussion of Arafah dua. Its displayed Darussalam assessment and the compiler’s commentary need to be distinguished, with other routes considered in a qualified comparison.

This page does not silently attach that report’s occasion or virtue to the selected general card. A familiar line can appear in more than one source with different contexts.

Preparing your requests

Consider forgiveness, guidance and the needs of others before the day, and learn a short text accurately. Keep any personal list as a planning aid rather than an obligatory litany.

Pilgrims need the specific Hajj guidance for their rites, while non-pilgrims have different practical circumstances. This collection does not replace instruction about standing at Arafah or the day’s ritual requirements.

Common questions

Is one exclusive Arafah formula selected here? The cards are general examples. Can I claim the daily count is an Arafah instruction? Not from Bukhari 6403 alone. Does this page decide all grading disagreements? No; it preserves the evidence boundary. Where can pilgrims continue? The Hajj page distinguishes the shared remembrance from a complete pilgrimage lesson.
